Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili hopes that the anti-corruption forum to be held in Kyiv on December 23 will start changes in Ukraine.
"Now it's time to act, time for everyone to join regardless of the political position, now we need to change everything. We together will change everything," Saakashvili said at a press conference in Kyiv.
He added that Ukrainians need to unite and try to fight corruption, which destroys the state.
"I always talk to the president on the topic of corruption, these issues are open, and I frankly discuss these topics with him," Saakashvili said, asked whether he discussed his actions with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Ukrainian MP Serhiy Leschenko said that corruption is the main problem of the country.
"This forum will be the starting pistol shot, which, I am sure, will give rise to a broad public movement, discussion on how to fight this phenomenon," he said.
