Parliament speaker insists on adoption of 2016 budget by year-end, says it could be changed early next year
The national budget for 2016 should be adopted by the end of the current year, and it could be amended in January-February next year, Chairman of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said.
"We should not stop work on the budget. The adoption of the budget by the end of the year will mean that we should be working hard both in January and February," he said on ICTV on Monday evening.
He explained that the budget cover ed spending on education and health care, however, there we re no programs for the reform of those sectors yet.
"I think that the budget, which should be adopted, will ensure stability, including international support of us. Work on the budget should not stop," he said.
