Decision on power supply to Crimea requires further analysis - Poroshenko
A decision on the supply of electricity from mainland Ukraine to Crimea requires additional comprehensive analysis taking into account the national interests of Ukraine, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"It (the issue of power supply) should be raised at the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council... the resumption of electricity supplies is possible only taking into account the respective decision and taking into account all the circumstances, not only energy, not only trade, but also security issues. After the analysis the final decision will be made with due regard to the national interests of Ukraine," Poroshenko said in Kyiv on Monday after the launch of the overhead power transmission line of the Kyivska substation of Rivne NPP when answering a question from journalists.
