Groysman calls on special parliament meeting on Thursday on budget, tax code amendments
Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Groysman is calling a special parliament meeting on Thursday, December 17, 2015, to start considering a draft national budget for 2016 and a bill on amendments to the Tax Code.
"I'm calling an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada for Thursday. As soon as the government tabled the budget and related bills in parliament this Friday, I've instructed respective [parliament] committees to analyze them and prepare preliminary conclusions," Groysman wrote on Facebook on Monday evening.
He said that the parliament should immediately start considering the budget for the coming year along with the changes to the Tax Code.
"On December 17, the budget and tax packages should be introduced at a plenary meeting. Then we'll have an opportunity to present our feedback and proposals. The schedule is very tight, but we should do our best to have the budget passed," he said.
