Cyprus president welcomes Ukraine's European integration reforms
President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades welcomes the reforms that Ukraine is pursuing as part of its EU membership aspirations.
"I am pleased to hear from President Poroshenko about the steps that you've been taking as part of reform. I was also pleased to hear that you're doing your best to implement the decisions Ukraine is required by the European Union to become an EU member as soon as possible," Anastasiades said after talks with his Ukrainian counterpart in Kyiv on Friday.
Anastasiades expressed full support of Ukraine in its aspirations for moving closer to the European Union.
"I hope that the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU will come into force in the near future," he said.
