OSCE SMM deputy chief monitor on fact-finding mission in Donetsk airport zone
OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug has arrived in the Donetsk airport zone to assess security levels, an Interfax correspondent reported from the location.
Representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination and the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) are accompanying Hug on his mission.
Eduard Basurin, a senior official of the DPR Defense Ministry, said on Sunday that the primary objective of Hug's visit to the DPR was to install surveillance cameras in Shyrokyne.
Hug told Interfax earlier that the OSCE SMM was ready to expand its presence in DPR-controlled territory and was expecting security guarantees to be provided.
