Ukrainian army reports 51 militant attacks over past day
Militants have conducted 51 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas since 6 p.m. on Sunday; the fire intensity has grown a lot in the Donetsk, Artemivsk and Luhansk sectors, the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center reported on Monday.
According to the press center, militants were firing 82mm mortars on Novhorodske, Verkhniotoretske, Krasnohorivka and Zhovte.
Various types of grenade launchers, large-caliber machineguns and small arms attacked Ukrainian army positions in Avdiyivka, Opytne, Verkhniotoretske, Maryinka and Pisky in Donetsk area and Zaitseve, Leninske, Mayorsk, Zolote and Luhanske in Artemivsk sector.
In addition, Ukrainian positions in Sokilnyky in Luhansk sector came under precision fire of militants 82mm mortars. Mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machineguns and small arms attacked Ukrainian positions in Maryinka, Verkhniotoretske, Novhorodske and Pisky in Donetsk region.
