U.S. Senator McCain pledges to work to make sure Washington supplies Kyiv with defensive weapons - Ukrainian embassy
Chairman of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee John McCain has assured Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Valery Chaly that he will continue making efforts to make sure that the U.S. provides support to Ukraine, including by supplying it with defensive weapons.
Chaly and McCain met on Friday, December 4, the Ukrainian Embassy to the U.S. said in a statement.
"John McCain assured [Chaly] that he remains one of the greatest friends of Ukraine and will continue to make every effort so that the United States provides efficient support to our country, including in the form of defensive weapons," it said.
In conclusion of the meeting, McCain invited Chaly to visit Arizona, which he represents at the U.S. Senate.
