UN Economic Commission for Europe to provide public private partnership standards to Health ministry
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe will provide international public private partnership standards in the healthcare area to the Health Ministry of Ukraine.
The ministry's press service reported that the agreement was reached at a meeting of First Deputy Health Minister Oleksandra Pavlenko with commission experts. The sides discussed problematic issues in Ukrainian medicine.
Pavlenko said that commission representatives provide consultations on the basis of the United Nations in the area of introducing public private partnership in countries.
"They do not look for investors and do not raise funds to the states. They consult governments how to build the public private partnership system so that it is attractive for investors," she said.
The sides agreed that a memorandum of cooperation will be signed soon.
As reported, on November 24, 2015, the Ukrainian parliament passed a bill on stimulating public private partnership.
