Kyiv accuses militants of firing at Ukrainian positions in Donbas 14 times overnight

Kyiv has accused militia forces in Donbas of opening fire on Ukrainian military positions in the Donetsk region, as well as near the cities of Artemivsk and Mariupol 14 times last night.

The press center of the Ukrainian army operation reported on its Facebook account on Friday morning that the militants had fired grenade launchers and small arms at Avdiyivka, Opytne, Novhorodske and Pisky.

Kyiv also claims that the strikes on Novhorodske continued for almost two hours and involved grenade launchers, small arms and 82mm mortars.

Militants also used different types of grenade launchers and small arms to shell Luhanske, Zaitseve and Shyrokyne.

The strikes continued from 6 p.m. on Thursday to 6:00 a.m. on Friday.
