Little chance Russia meet deadline for peace deal in eastern Ukraine – NATO supreme commander
NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe U.S. General Philip Breedlove said that there was little chance that Russia would meet a year-end deadline for a peace deal in eastern Ukraine.
"Russia still supports its proxies in eastern Ukraine. It is not very likely that we can get everything we need in Minsk by the end of the year," he said at a press conference in Brussels saying the calmer situation in Donbas doesn't mean the end of the conflict was near.
December 31 is the deadline of the Minsk deals reached by the parties in February.
