Independent candidate Vadym Boichenko has been elected mayor of Mariupol, Secretary of Mariupol City Council Andriy Feday reported.
"The results of the election of the mayor of Mariupol have been announced. Congratulations to Boichenko, the head of the city of Mariupol," he wrote on his Facebook page.
He also reported the outcome of the election to Mariupol City Council. "The opposition bloc received 45 seats, the People's Power party five seats, the Nash Kray four seats," Feday said.
