U.S. to announce new, increased support for Ukraine soon
The Ukrainian government has managed to restore the world's trust in the country's economy and the U.S. will provide Ukraine with increased support soon, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has said.
According to his Twitter post, quoted by Reanimation Package of Reforms during its public and political forum "The Anniversary of the Coalition Agreement: Plan of Actions or a Useless Scrap of Paper?", Pyatt said that the U.S. government will continue its assistance to Ukraine on its path of reform and a respective announcement on new and increased aid will be made soon.
Pyatt said that corruption is the main problem that Ukraine faces, describing corruption as 'a cancerous growth' which prevents development and reform.
