Number of shelling incidents in Donbas declines since Nov 25 – OSCE SMM
OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) members have reported a decline in the number of shelling incidents in eastern Ukraine after Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff Viktor Muzhenko banned shooting on November 25.
The OSCE SMM welcomed the repeated declaration of compliance with the Minsk agreements by the Ukrainian Armed Forces command and said the agreements had been also complied with earlier, OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday. The number of violations of the truce by both sides has declined since last night, he said.
According to Hug, the mission members will examine the situation and events along the contact line and will issue their report.
