Poroshenko signs law on ratifying protocol on amending Marrakesh WTO agreement
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed law No. 745-VIII on ratifying the protocol on amending the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization (WTO), which was passed by the parliament on November 4, 2015.
"The ratification of the protocol by Ukraine and the introduction of the Agreement will improve the positions of our state in doing business ratings, and this would give a positive signal to our international traders and investment society, that an effective and transparent chain has been created in Ukraine with the reduction of corruption. The implementation of the agreement would promote more active Ukraine's integration into the EU," the press service of the Ukrainian president said.
The protocol will take effect after the implementation of interstate ratification procedures by two thirds of the WTO members.
