Poroshenko approves fines against employers who violate rights of employees called up for military service

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed bill No. 734-VIII according to which fines can be imposed on employers for violating the rights of employees called up for military services.

The press service of the Ukrainian president reported that the law on amending some Ukrainian laws regarding increasing responsibility for violating the rights of employees called up for military service was passed by the Ukrainian parliament on November 3, 2015.

"The document establishes the financial responsibility of employers in the amount of 10 minimum wages per employee against whom the violation was registered, as well as administrative responsibility of officials of enterprises, institutions and organization (individual employers) in the amount from 50 to 100 non-taxable minimum citizens' income," the press service said.

The amendments are made to Article 265 of the Labor Code of Ukraine and Articles 41, 221 and 255 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Ukraine.
