Poroshenko commemorates perished activists of Kyiv's Maidan
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko attended the events in commemoration of perished participants of the Kyiv Maidan movement on Saturday, November 21, when the Day of Dignity and Freedom is marked in the country.
"Petro Poroshenko, [his wife] Maryna and children of the heroes, whose parents protected Ukraine's right for European future, placed oil lamps to a commemorative cross on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, which is mounted at the place of massive shooting of participants of the protests in the Instytutska Street on February 20," the Ukrainian presidential press service said.
After this event Poroshenko attended a church remembrance service for the dead. Their memory was also honored by a minute of silence and mourning bell chimes.
