Ukrainian army reports militant attacks on its positions in Donetsk, Luhansk sectors
Militants resumed attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas at 18.00 on Tuesday, the anti-terrorist operation press center said on Wednesday, referring to a video of Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff spokesman Leonid Matiukhin.
The press center said in its report published on Facebook that the enemy shelled Opytne, Pisky, Maryinka, Verkhniotoretske, Troitske and Avdiyivka in the Donetsk sector by use of grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
Militants opened small arms precision fire on Ukrainian army positions in Novotoshkivske and Orikhove-Donetske in the Luhansk area.
A clash with a sabotage and reconnaissance group comprising of about 20 hostiles happened in Orikhove-Donetske at 20.00, the report said.
