OSCE reps still not allowed to Crimea – OSCE PA president
The OSCE representatives continue to attempt to get access to Crimea to monitor the situation there, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Ilkka Kanerva has said.
Speaking at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday he said that the situation in Crimea was very delicate. A few weeks ago the OSCE reported that the rights of national minorities in Crimea are not respected, so the organization understands the need for the mission in Crimea, he said.
The OSCE representatives are trying to get to Crimea, but Kanerva said he did not have high hopes for the success of this mission any time soon. However, the OSCE will continue to try to do it, he said.
