African swine fever (ASF) was recorded at a farm in Bobrovytsia (Chernihiv region) on November 13.
According to the State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service of Ukraine, this case is the first in Bobrovytsia district.
Since the beginning of 2015 thirteen ASF cases have been recorded in Chernihiv region.
In addition, according to the general directorate of veterinary medicine in Mykolaiv region, on November 13 two pig corpses with signs of tissue autolysis were found at the site of a former cattle burial in Velykoveselivka. ASF was subsequently diagnosed. The dead animals were burned and the place was disinfected.
ASF has been recorded in Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Mykolaiv, Odesa regions in Ukraine since 2012.
