U.S. to continue supporting Ukraine internationally rebuilding – Treasury Secretary
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Jacob J. Lew have met in Kyiv and discussed further economic cooperation between their two states.
"We considered a number of the issues on further economic cooperation. We designed the future plans of our joint cooperation," the Verkhovna Rada press service quotes Groysman as saying.
Lew promised to help Ukraine on the international scene by helping the country to carry out national reforms which will provide stability for the Ukrainian financial system.
Lew praised Ukraine's achievements in rooting out corruption as this is one of the main conditions required for Ukraine to receive micro-financial aid to ensure its successful economic development.
He said that it is extremely important for Ukraine to step forward in carrying out reforms as this will lay the foundation for the development of the economy and security of the country.
