Groysman supports extension of moratorium on land sales
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has supported the extension of the moratorium on land sales.
"I've always strongly opposed lifting the moratorium. This is my position that I voiced to the deputies, the government, and the president. And we have no discrepancies on this issue," he said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly.
According to the speaker, even if the parliament by January 1 does not make any decision, the moratorium will be valid.
"A fair market that is helpful for the development of the country is possible only when its real owner will have opportunities and mechanism to buy land. So far there is neither money no absolute guarantees that it won't be simply taken by oligarchs," Groysman stressed.
