Militants continue shell attacks on ATO forces in Donetsk direction – HQ
The militants continue their attacks on Ukrainian army positions in the Donetsk sector that started on Monday evening, the army operation press center in Donbas said on Tuesday.
"The terrorists continue to violate the Minsk agreements, the same as they have been doing practically every day. They are firing on our servicemen mostly in the Donetsk sector and are trying to provoke Ukrainian defenders," the press center wrote on Facebook.
The enemy "conducted provocative shelling of our positions by use of small arms and automatic grenade launchers in the area of Avdiyivka and Opytne" on Tuesday evening, the press center said.
"A sniper targeted Ukrainian positions in Avdiyivka from the direction of Spartak at 6:07 a.m. local time. Grenade launchers attacked Opytne and Avdiyivka from the direction of Spartak and Putylivsky Forest. In all, the terrorists staged six provocations and four times opened precision fire at our positions in the period from 6 a.m. till 10:50 a.m.," the press center said.
