Bullet proof glass protects Shokin from sniper fire – military prosecutor
Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine and Deputy Prosecutor General Anatoliy Matios has said that a sniper attempted to assassinate Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin on Monday evening, but he was saved thanks to bullet-proof glass.
"At 21:52, Shokin and his colleagues, who were at a meeting and were sitting around a table in the prosecutor general's office, were fired on by a sniper, three bullets were fired," Matios said at a press conference at the prosecutor general's office in Kyiv.
Matios said that bullet-proof glass protected those present at the meeting.
He added that a criminal case was immediately opened after the attempt on Shokin's life
