PGO investigator arrests Korban, instructs SBU to bring him in for investigation
An investigator of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has decided to arrest UKROP party leader Hennadiy Korban and has instructed the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to transfer him to the location where the investigation will be carried out, SBU spokesperson Olena Hitlianska has said.
"The PGO investigator took a procedural decision to arrest him [Korban] and instructed the SBU to bring him to the location where the investigative activities will be carried out," Hitlianska told Interfax-Ukraine when asked where police had taken Korban after the maximum term of 72 hours detention had expired.
The SBU has denied reports that Korban was kidnapped.
