Investigators want to question Opposition Bloc MPs Novinsky, Vilkul, Korolevska - Shokin
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin has confirmed that investigators intend to question the Opposition Bloc MPs Oleksandr Vilkul, Vadim Novinsky, and Natalia Korolevska.
"You know, today there was an attempt in the Verkhovna Rada to call in for questioning several deputies of the Opposition Bloc – Mr. Vilkul, Mrs. Korolevska, and one more person – Novinsky – who was also called in for questioning," Shokin said at a briefing in Kyiv.
According to him, the Prosecutor General's Office has sent summons to Vilkul and Korolevska for them to appear for questioning on November 5.
He added that "these aren't the last summons for the interrogations under the criminal proceedings, which concern high officials."
"I'm sure that after the interrogations are carried out after other criminal cases, proper conclusions will be made, and if guilt is proven, than I will make a presentation on bringing these people and other people, citizens of Ukraine and MPs as well, to criminal responsibility," Shokin said.
