Ukraine presents Donbas elections concept to Contact Group, submits proposals to Rada - president

Ukraine has presented a concept of the election process in Donetsk and Luhansk regions to the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"At a Trilateral Contact Group meeting, Ukraine presented a concept of its vision of this law by simultaneously submitting it to our coalition partners in the EU and the U.S. and to the parliament so that parliamentary forces had an opportunity to discuss the election law concept and to prepare for elaborating its text. I think it will be prepared rather quickly," the president said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels posted on Sunday night.
