Turkmenistan supports peaceful solution to any conflict – Turkmen president

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow has reiterated the position of his country that all conflicts should be resolved peacefully.

"We reiterate the principled position of Turkmenistan and Ukraine that all conflicts and disputes should be resolved in a political and diplomatic way only," he said at talks between Ukrainian and Turkmen delegations in Ashgabat on Thursday.

Berdimuhamedow says Turkmenistan strongly supports the recognition of the principles of equality and non-interference in other states' internal affairs. In his words, the right to choose paths of development should be respected.
