Poroshenko speaks for stepping up cooperation with Turkmenistan
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has spoken up at a meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in favor of stepping up cooperation between the two countries.
"Cooperation between our countries is of historical and strategic character," Poroshenko said in Ashgabat on Thursday.
According to him, it is important to develop cooperation in economic, trade, humanitarian, scientific and technical spheres as well as in education.
A number of documents in agricultural, economic and industrial areas, as well as agreements between universities of the two countries are expected to be signed following the talks, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
