Female observer of candidate to Odesa regional council Maria Gaidar injured by knife in Odesa
An unidentified attacker has injured an observer representing candidate to the deputies of the Odesa regional council Maria Gaidar.
"An hour ago observer Vika from polling station number 511 283 was injured by a knife in our headquarters between the first and second floors. She is now being stitched up in hospital," Gaidar said on her Facebook page on Monday.
The police told Interfax that the incident took place in Odesa on Rishelyevska Street, where Gaidar's reception office is located.
The investigation into the offence is under way.
Gaidar is currently an adviser of head of the Odesa regional administration Mikheil Saakashvili.
