Opposition Bloc's candidate Liakh leads in Sloviansk mayoral election

Opposition Bloc candidate Vadym Liakh is leading in the Sloviansk mayoral election, Donetsk region, head of the municipal election commission Antonina Shumakova has said, quoting the preliminary results of the vote count.

"Vadym Liakh is in the lead, he scored 52.6% of the vote. From among parties [standing in the town council election], the Opposition Bloc comes first with 52.1%," she said on "112 Ukraine" TV on Monday.

Shumakova also noted that no complaints about the commission's work have been reported.
