Petition on president's website to dismiss Prosecutor General Shokin on collects more than 25,000 signatures
A petition to dismiss Viktor Shokin as Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which was registered on the Ukrainian president's website on August 29, has garnered 25,000 votes.
According to information posted on the website of the Ukrainian president on Thursday, petition No. 22/000050-ep "Dismissal of Mr. Shokin and the organization of an open and transparent tender to select a new Prosecutor General of Ukraine" has received 25,315 signatures.
The petition will now be handed over to the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for discussion and the administration will submit its conclusions to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
