Govt empowers medicinal product service to issue licenses

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has empowered the State Service for Medicinal Products to issue licenses for the production, wholesale, retail sale, and imports of medicines (apart from active pharmaceutical ingredients).

Cabinet resolution No. 829 of October 9 on amending the list of licensing agencies has been posted on the government's website.

The resolution states that the State Service for Drug Control is the agency that would license growing of plants included in the table 1 of the list of f drug-containing, psychotropic substances and precursors.

The State Service for Medicinal Products said on its official website that the issue of licenses has been restored.
