Armed Forces to be equipped with 7.62 mm Hopak rifle developed by Ukroboronprom
The Ukrainian Armed Forces will be provided with 7.62 mm Hopak operational portable rifles created on the basis of the Kalashnikov by PJSC Mayak Plant (Kyiv), part of Ukroboronprom state concern.
According to the press service of the state concern, the new small arms will enter service after state tests are completed.
The rifle has a weight of less than 5 kg with a firing rate of 30 rounds per minute and can be equipped with a silencer.
Mayak is actively participating in the technical re-equipment of the Ukrainian army and is updating its arsenal of weapons.
PJSC Mayak Plant also specializes in the manufacture of aviation control and navigation equipment, and radar systems and equipment.
