Rada's main task after elections will be reducing tax burden on businessmen, investors – Poroshenko
The main task of the Ukrainian parliament after the upcoming local elections will be to reduce the tax burden on entrepreneurs and investors, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"It is necessary to create a good [business] environment, and our lawmakers will ensure that changes are made to the tax legislation ... This priority task will be put before the parliamentary faction of the coalition immediately after the elections," he said when visiting Ivano-Frankivsk Cement Plant on Wednesday.
Poroshenko said this policy has the support of both foreign investors and domestic entrepreneurs.
Local elections in Ukraine will be held on October 25.
