Security subgroup to continue working on mine-clearance problem in Donbas - OSCE special representative
The security subgroup of the Contact Group on Ukraine agreed to continue working on the mine clearance of the most important infrastructure facilities in Donbas, OSCE Special Representative Martin Sajdik told reporters upon the results of the work of the Contact Group in Minsk.
The group agreed to continue working on the mine clearance and the compiling of the list of relevant priorities, he said, wondering how it is possible to make progress on humanitarian, economic and political issues without mine clearance, and how it is possible to hold elections, if there are mined territories, as all this is interrelated.
Meanwhile, the issue of further escalation in the area of Shyrokyne and the verification of heavy weaponry pullback was discussed, Sajdik said.
