Uncompleted demarcation of Ukraine-Russia border won't influence visa free regime with EU – Klimkin
The unfinished demarcation of Ukraine's border with Russia won't influence the introduction of visa free travel with the European Union, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"Demarcation isn't an obstacle to visa free travel. We have the clear reassurances of the EU that our efforts – and we have a definite strategy – are supported," the minister said at a press conference in Kyiv.
Klimkin said that the demarcation of Ukrainian-Russian border is ongoing, as well as the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
According to the minister, the fact that part of the Ukrainian-Russian border is uncontrolled by Kyiv will not affect the introduction of the visa free regime with the EU.
"It doesn't hamper [the introduction of the visa free regime]. This is a clear political position," he told journalists.
