Ukraine to start removing tanks in Donbas on Tuesday morning
Ukraine is starting to remove tanks from the contact line in Donetsk region on Tuesday morning, October 20, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff spokesman Vladyslav Selezniov told Interfax on Monday.
"We are beginning to remove tanks from the contact line in Donetsk region tomorrow. The start of the removal depends on communication between local unit commanders and OCSE SMM (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission) representatives because this process clearly must be under the mission's surveillance, i.e. they must clearly see that the tanks, hardware have been arranged into a column and removed to pre-determined sites," he said on Monday.
The whole process of removing weapons with a caliber of less than 100 millimeters should end before November 12, 2015, Selezniov said.
"We believe that first and foremost the parties to the conflict must comply with the terms of the Minsk protocol and Minsk memorandum," the Ukrainian General Staff spokesman said.
