Kyiv confirms withdrawal of weapons smaller than 100mm by its opponents in Donbas
Preliminary findings indicate that the armed opponents of the Kyiv authorities in Donbas are withdrawing their weapons smaller than 100mm in caliber, says Ukrainian presidential office spokesperson Andriy Lysenko.
"Information on the withdrawal of hardware by militants will be provided to members of the OSCE mission who are authorized to monitor the weapons withdrawal process. We are responsible for what happens on our side," Lysenko said at a news briefing on Wednesday when asked whether Kyiv had information on the withdrawal of military hardware by its opponents.
"We are fully confident that we have been complying with the obligations that we have undertaken on an international level and hope the enemy is acting the same way. We do have preliminary information that it is also withdrawing its weapons," Lysenko said.
