Ukraine to pull back cannons from Donbas contact line after OSCE SMM confirms withdrawal of tanks
Ukraine has finalized the withdrawal of tanks from the contact line in Luhansk region and has proceeded to the next stage in the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements - verification, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff representative Vladyslav Selezniov has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"We have finalized the withdrawal of tanks from the contact line. Verification will start now, and OSCE SMM observers will check the presence of tanks in [storage] sites by their lists," he said on Wednesday.
The next stage - the pullback of cannons with calibers under 100mm - may not begin on Friday as it has been announced earlier.
"The OSCE SMM confirmation of the complete fulfillment of the first stage will be our starting point," the spokesman said.
