Ceasefire is observed in Donbas, withdrawal of weapons of caliber less than 100 mm will begin on Monday - Kyiv
Militants in Donbas fully observed the ceasefire and did not open fire on Ukrainian positions on Sunday, the press center for the military operation conducted by Kyiv has reported.
"The halt of active military action and direct attacks […] made it possible to begin gradual withdrawal of equipment and weapons of caliber less than 100 mm," the press center said in a daily reported posted on Facebook.
The press center says that, in accordance with the agreements, the withdrawal process is divided into two stages and will last 41 days.
Before the practical phase, the sides gave OSCE officials lists of weapons and equipment that will be moved to specific areas at a distance of at least 15 km from the engagement line.
On October 5, the Ukrainian military will begin withdrawing tanks from the division line, starting from the Luhansk region, as part of the first stage.
During the withdrawal, T-64 and T-72 tanks, anti-tank guns D-48 and D-44 of 85 mm caliber and 2B-9 mortars of 82 mm caliber will be moved to specific areas.
"The weapons withdrawal process is bilateral and will be observed by OSCE representatives and the mass media," the press center said.
