U.S. President Barack Obama said at the UN General Assembly that he had signed a decree on providing Ukraine with counterbattery stations for defensive purposes, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Speaking about President Obama, he had met wit me before meeting with Putin and we coordinated the main approaches. [The second meeting took place] after the meeting with Putin, and in the evening, after meeting with U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden, where he told me he had signed a relevant degree on the provision to Ukraine of new samples of weapons for which we have a vital need because they are defensive weapons," the president said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels aired on Ukraina television on Sunday evening.
