Ukrainian president promises to start pullback of light weapons in Donbas on Sat
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that the Ukrainian side will start the withdrawal of weapons under 100mm in caliber from the contact line in Donbas.
"The main result of this meeting was several key important decisions. The first decision - we start the pullback of light weapons, begin it literally on the next day, we have agreed on an accurate procedure," Poroshenko told reporters upon the results of the meeting of the leaders of the 'Normandy Quartet' states (Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia) in Paris on Friday.
"The withdrawal will begin tomorrow. Now it is still needed to hand over the coordinates, the list of those weapons which will be pulled back. All technical issues, including the coordination with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), are already resolved," the Ukrainian president said.
