Poroshenko states he, Merkel, Hollande support immediate release of Savchenko, other Ukrainians detained in Russia
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said at a meeting in Paris he, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed support for the immediate release of Nadiya Savchenko, Oleh Sentsov and other Ukrainians detained in the Russian Federation.
"Another very important thing was the joint position, stated by me and supported by the German Chancellor and the French President, over the fate of Oleh Sentsov, Nadiya Savchenko and other Ukrainian heroes illegally detained in Russia. We called to make every effort for the immediate release of the Ukrainian heroes who are held in the Russian Federation," he told reporters after a meeting of the "Normandy Quartet" leaders in Paris.
