EU provides EUR 3.5 mln to get ready for local elections in Ukraine
The European Union gives its support to Ukraine before the forthcoming local elections in October providing financial assistance in an amount of EUR 3.5 million for the projects launched to ensure democratic, fair and transparent elections in line with the highest standards.
According to the EU Delegation to Ukraine, this sum of money is provided for elections-related projects through several Ukrainian and international organizations.
"This assistance supports, for example, elections observations, trainings, involvement of civil society in electoral legislative processes, organization of pre-elections discussions and debates, online map with possible election violations, etc.," reads the report posted on the organization's website.
