UN may adopt resolution to restrict veto rights of UN Security Council permanent members
The Ukrainian presidential administration has said that in the next few days a resolution on restricting the veto rights of permanent members of the UN Security Council could be adopted by the UN General Assembly
"Just in the next few days there could be a meeting on the margins of the General Assembly, where, apart from other issues, the situation regarding the initiative [of veto rights being restricted] will be discussed. A discussion and adoption of the definite resolution as a part of the UN General Assembly isn't ruled out," deputy head of presidential administration Kostiantyn Yeliseyev said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
