Ukraine boosts daily imports of gas from EU by another 17%
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine increased imports of gas from the EU by another 17%, to 35 million cubic meters a day, national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has reported, referring to its subsidiary public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz.
The company said that the gas is transported via Slovakia.
A day ago, Ukrtransgaz said that Ukraine in the past two days had increased gas imports from the European Union (EU) by 12%, to 29.8 million cubic meters a day. From September 1 to September 26, 670.3 million cubic meters of gas was transported from Slovakia to Ukraine.
The company said that Ukraine has accumulated over 15.5 billion cubic meters of gas in its underground storage facilities, and as of September 28, the pumping rate is 39.3 million cubic meters a day.
