Court obliges PGO to open case against Yatseniuk for alleged taking bribe - MP
The Pechersky District court of Kyiv has obliged officers of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine to open pretrial investigation against Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk who is suspected of taking a bribe of $3 million for appointing Volodymyr Ischuk director general of Broadcasting, Radiocommunications & Television Concern (BRT).
MP Serhiy Kaplin posted the court ruling on his Facebook page on Saturday.
According to the document, Kaplin filed a claim to court against inertness of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which is expressed in the non-recording information after receiving an application on crime to the state register of pretrial investigations.
Kaplin said that the prime minister allegedly took the bribe for appointing Ischuk BRT director general.
The court satisfied the claim of Kaplin and obliged authorized officers of Public Prosecutor's Office to place information to the state register of pretrial investigations and start the pretrial investigation using information of the claimant.
