Defense Ministry focused on deepening Ukraine-U.S. cooperation – Poltorak
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has visited Washington and informed his American counterpart Ashton Carter about the experience acquired by the Ukrainian army in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are ready to share their experience with their foreign partners, the press service of the ministry has reported.
During the meeting, both ministers discussed the military-political situation in Ukraine and the ongoing military reforms in the country.
"The Ukrainian Defense Ministry pays a great [deal of] attention to deepening bilateral Ukrainian-American cooperation," Poltorak said at the meeting.
He also thanked the U.S. for its medical and military aid, and he went on to express hope that cooperation in this area would deepen as well.
