Ukraine taking legal steps before addressing International Court of Justice over Donbas conflict - Klimkin

Ukraine will be able to address the International Court of Justice about the conflict in Donbas after the necessary legal steps are finished, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.

"We have finished all the preparation work and started the consolations. Under some conventions, we already held a few rounds. If they don't finish with any [result], Russia might admit its guilt in funding terrorism in the next round. We don't doubt about that," he said on 24 TV channel on Wednesday night.

"When we come to the next stage, if this stage yields results, we'll go to the International Court of Justice," Klimkin said.

He said that Ukraine has a lot of evidence to present to the court.

"If Ukraine's is successful, Russia will face additional sanctions and might even experience isolation," Klimkin said.
